Interpretive Sculptures
NewScape developed concept designs for interpretive artworks at Deriah Aboriginal Area, near Mount Kaputar in north western NSW. It was envisaged that the artworks would interpret Aboriginal stories and reinforce the significance of the site to the local Aboriginal community.
The designs included a number of large scale native animal sculptures made from folded steel plate, a stylised turkey’s nest and a series of bronze plaques that explain the meaning of the Deriah logo.
